Character Biography

Her past was a mystery to almost all who knew her under the name of Claudius. Her real name was in fact Nienna Anwamanë and she was a princess from the Elven island of Uio. In the fourth summer of Pelor, she was stripped of her title and money by the newly ruling Elensar caste, having fled her island home in response to the deaths of both her mother and father.

After being ousted from her home, Claudius resolved to gathering a following of supporters and returning to the island she considered herself to be the rightful ruler of. Almost a year later, she was practically destitute and had resorted to taking on whatever work was available. Having found herself sharing her living quarters with a livery of pigs being transported between Graventus and the coastal town of Seawell in Merlos, she often said it was at her lowest point that she found herself.

A shipwreck forced her together with the other members of her adventuring group, including her future Human lover; Captain Nobeard. The Heroes of Duvik’s pass became fatefully entangled with the dark wizard Zoltar. Though clashing many times, no true victory was won against Zoltar and he managed to unleash a dark flood of undead throughout Merlos.

This tale concerns Mala’keth the Gnome, made famous by his exploits during the return of Zoltar the Necromancer in the Second Season of Prophecy.

Mala’keth was born into slavery. This was not uncommon for Gnomes during the reign of Lord Ragnar, and in fact, some Gnome families encouraged it. Such was Mala’keth’s family, a tired and worn line of ‘keths that had lost all their riches gambling with the bean trade, and who had sold their new born son to a man named Zoltar. Mala’keth grew up in the confines of Zoltar’s tower and never really questioned his being there.

JT: Character Background

‘JT’ – Half-elf Rogue

Relying heavily on his agility and charisma JT is adept at the ‘less honourable’ side of fighting, waiting for an opponent to turn his back or hiding in the shadows, his weapons of choice are his array of knives and daggers, which he seems to pull from any part of his clothing.  His eyes are always open and he can see the opportunity, and danger, that lurks around every corner.  His years of living on the streets have taught him to use any tool that comes to hand and he has an unerring ability to jury rig almost anything.  He is untrustworthy and untrusting, but has what he calls his yellow box, an annoying voice in his head (his conscience?) that will always try to persuade him to do the right thing.  He has honour, but only when it suits him.  He drinks heavily but always seems to be the right side of drunk, this has helped him out of many a tight corner.
